The major in Applied Mathematics is designed to provide foundation in both Mathematics and Computer Science.

General Education Core Requirements for B.S.
Includes the following requirements
Chose one of the following two-semester sequences:
Technical Requirements: 10 Hours
Major Requirements: 38 Hours
At least four of the following, including two of the 4000 level choices:
Up to 3 hours can be substituted from MTH 3000, MTH 3050, MTH 3990, and MTH 4990 At least one of the following:
Minor Requirements: 18 Hours
Minor must be chosen from the following list:
- Accounting
- Biology
- Business Administration
- Chemistry
- Computer Science
- Database Management
- Economics
- Entrepreneurship
- Environmental Science
- Finance
- International Business
- Marketing
- Neurobiology
- Physical Sceince
- Physics
- Web Development
General Electives: 0-5 Horus
Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
Restrictions
- Courses with an asterisk (*) following the title will not count toward either a major or a minor in mathematics.
- French or German is recommended to fulfill language requirements for a B.A. degree in mathematics.
- A grade of C or better in a prerequisite course is necessary in order for the prerequisite to have been satisfied.
- Any deviation from the listed prerequisites must be approved by the Department Chair.
