MDD 5160 Musculoskeletal

Prerequisites: MDD 5110 , MDD 5120 , MDD 5130 , MDD 5140 , MDD 5150 Â 

This course provides an in-depth study and analysis of the musculoskeletal system. There is an emphasis on the structure and function of human movement and an overview of applied imaging techniques to assess joints, bone, ligament and other soft tissues. Students will encounter an in-depth exploration of the evaluation, differential diagnosis, prognosis, and interventions for various musculoskeletal injuries, dysfunctions and systemic pathological processes impacting the musculoskeletal system through an evidence-based curriculum that includes interactive didactics, small group cases, clinical simulation, histology-anatomy-radiology-pathology labs, and independent learning.
