Gender Studies MInor

This interdisciplinary minor consists of two required courses and four elective courses. It explores the field of Gender Studies, developing students’ understanding of the intersectional nature of gender in culture; it prepares students to have an impact in any field wherein gender plays an essential part; and it cultivates students’ empathy, knowledge, and skill sets to help them on their path to transforming the world. It is open to students in any major.

Minor Core Requirements: 6 Hours

GDS 1100 Introduction to Gender Studies 3 Hours
GDS 4900 Gender Studies Senior Seminar 3 Hours
