The Art History Minor is a concentrated course of study with a global perspective, focused on art, design, and architecture from various historical periods and cultures. Students learn to analyze visual images and interpret their meaning through intensive looking, reading, research, and writing while applying critical thinking skills to understanding how and why art objects connect to social and historical contexts. This global perspective enriches their understanding of different cultures and their artistic expressions.
