Business Systems and Analytics Concentration

The Business Systems and Analytics (BSA) major prepares students to analyze, design, optimize, and secure information systems that enhance organizational performance and protect organizational assets. The BSA program integrates technical proficiency, analytical thinking, business acumen, and cyber resilience to prepare students for success in a global, data-driven economy.

Students begin with a core foundation in programming, database management, and data visualization, and then choose from one of four career-aligned tracks:

  • Business Systems - Emphasizes enterprise technology design, systems integration, and process improvement.

  • Business Analytics - Focuses on data modeling, predictive analytics, and big data techniques for decision-making.

  • Cybersecurity - Prepares students to protect information assets through coursework in network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics and incident response.

  • General Track - Provides flexibility to tailor coursework across multiple domains, including digital marketing, supply chain analytics, and global business.

The curriculum incorporates applied learning, global perspectives, and ethical reasoning, reinforced through internships, case studies, and experiential projects. Graduates are equipped with the skills to solve complex business problems, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and lead responsibly in dynamic professional environments.
