Public Health, B.S.P.H.

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) degree prepares graduates for entry-level careers in public health and related fields or to pursue graduate study in these areas. 

To progress in the Bachelor of Science in Public Health program, students must earn a grade of C- or higher in the following core courses:

  • BPH 3100 Introduction to Epidemiology

  • BPH 3210 Scientific Inquiry

A grade of D+ or below in any of these courses will not satisfy degree requirements, and the course must be repeated. Students who do not meet this minimum grade requirement will not be permitted to progress in the program. Failure to meet progression requirements may delay graduation and prevent students from enrolling in the fieldwork experience.

BELL Core Requirements: 44 Hours (minimum)


Technical Requirement (Hours Counted in BELL Core):


Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core   or as General Electives. 

Major Fieldwork: 9 Hours


(must complete 9 hours)

General Electives: 19 Hours (minimum)


Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
