This Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) student teaching program is designed to prepare ambitious individuals for rewarding careers as highly-effective educators in with English Second Language Learners in grades pre-K-12. It offers a comprehensive blend of rigorous academic coursework, intensive pedagogical training, and valuable hands-on teaching experience through student teaching placements. In addition to earning a master’s degree, candidates meet the performance standards of the TN ESL (pre-K-12) teacher license.
