This Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) student teaching program, is designed to prepare ambitious individuals for rewarding careers as highly-effective educators in 6-12 classrooms. It offers a comprehensive blend of rigorous academic coursework, intensive pedagogical training, and valuable hands-on teaching experience through student teaching placements. In addition to earning a master’s degree, candidates meet the performance standards of the TN Secondary (6-12) teacher license.
