The Pediatrics Clerkship provides students with hands-on experience in the evaluation and management of infants, children, and adolescents with acute and chronic medical conditions. Students will develop skills in pediatric history-taking, physical examinations, growth and development assessment, and age-appropriate treatment planning. The clerkship takes place in HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Division, offering exposure to diverse pediatric inpatient and outpatient cases. Working alongside pediatricians and multidisciplinary teams, students will refine their diagnostic reasoning, communication with families, and preventive care strategies. By the end of the rotation, students will demonstrate competency in pediatric medical decision-making and patient-centered care.
