PHM 6108 Dosage Form Design

This course covers the fundamental principles and practices of medicine design including the physicochemical properties of active drugs and excipients, basic science of drug formulation design, manufacturing process, and quality control of commonly used pharmaceutical dosage forms as well as integrated extemporaneous compounding and dispensing skills. Dosage forms will be classified according to their physical states such as liquids (including dispersed systems), semi solid and solid dosage forms.
