NUR 6245 DNP Practice Experience

Provides an opportunity for DNP students to play a leading role in health care transformation using tools acquired through DNP program courses. Students integrate knowledge of nursing science and theory, evidence-based practice, leadership, and clinical practice into individualized experiences that promote positive change in healthcare systems and patient outcomes. Experiences align with individual attainment of the AACN Essentials (2021) and include opportunities to explore DNP roles such as the nurse educator, nurse executive, nurse policy advocate, nurse informaticist, and nurse leader. Collectively, the DNP Practice Experience Courses (I, II, & III) provide students with the foundation necessary to enter the highest level of advanced nursing. May be repeated up to a maximum of 6 credit hours.
