EDL 6100 Leadership for Universal Student Success 3 Hours
Students will explore historical dynamics around educational access, such as the development and proliferation of Common Schools, the civil rights movement, Land Grant Public Universities, and the evolution of special education, as well as contemporary issues important to today’s education leaders. Emphasis is placed on the role of education leaders in creating and sustaining positive classroom and organizational cultures, removing barriers to student success, and fostering environments where all students and staff feel valued, supported, and empowered. Through case studies, policy analysis, and reflective practice, students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to lead schools and other educational institutions that enable success for all learners.
