EDU 5670 Leadership in Positive Behavioral Support and Intervention


3 Hours

Prerequisites: EDU 3800, Meeting the Needs of Diverse Learners in the Classroom, EDU 5605 , EDU 5630 , and EDU 5660  

This course focuses on an in-depth analysis of team-based leadership and application of behavioral and social emotional supports for students with disabilities. Content covers behavioral theories, research, and high-leverage strategies within a culturally-responsive, multi-tiered systems framework aligned with  trauma-informed and restorative practices. Candidates will also gain skills in establishing and monitoring behavioral supports. This course also contains approximately 20 hours of field experience.
