SWK 5900 Field Instruction II

Prerequisites: SWK 5400

In this experiential course, students will continue in their SWK 5400 field placement, supervised by a professional social worker in a local agency. This course helps to further the development of the generalist social work practitioner and the professional use of self. A deeper consideration of values and social issues is undertaken over the course of 200 hours of field work.

The accompanying seminar provides a supportive environment for processing the field experience, and space for students to reflect on their knowledge, skills and abilities as they move from theoretical understanding to applied learning.
