MHC 5006 Ethics/Evaluation in School Counseling

This course teaches future school counselors how to ethically plan, function within, and evaluate a school counseling program. The purpose of the course is to apply knowledge of school counseling models, laws, and codes of ethics to plan, manage deliver, and evaluate a school counseling program. Special emphasis is placed on curriculum development, working with parents and community resources and other school stakeholders, and students and program advocacy to enhance K-12 students’ academic, career, and interpersonal development.
