M.B.A./ M.S.A.A. Dual Degree

Two of the graduate business degrees available at Belmont University are the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and the Master of Science in Applied Analytics (M.S.A.A.). Both degrees are flexible and rigorous programs that arise from the school’s mission. The M.B.A. program provides each student with both a broad generalist view of essential business functions while allowing the student, if desired, to focus on a business function in depth. It is designed to prepare working professionals for mid- to upper-level management positions. The M.S.A.A. program equips graduates with advanced knowledge in data management, applied analytics, and AI-driven decision-making to solve complex business challenges. It is designed to prepare professionals to lead in a rapidly changing, data-informed business environment.

One distinctive feature of this dual degree program is the delivery format. The M.B.A. portion of the program may be completed either in person or online. The M.S.A.A. portion of the program is delivered in an asynchronous online format with required weekly synchronous sessions designed to provide both flexibility and structured experiential engagement.

Students interested in obtaining both an M.B.A. and an M.S.A.A. degree from the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business must meet the requirements of both degree programs. Some specific courses receive credit in both programs, provided the student is enrolled in the two degree programs simultaneously. Given simultaneous enrollment, the total number of hours for both degrees taken at Belmont University will be 51 hours, as compared to the 66 required hours if taken separately.

Students who have not already completed an M.B.A. or M.S.A.A. degree from another school may transfer up to six semester hours into the Massey Graduate School at the time of admission, with the approval of the Associate Dean.
