The Commercial Music Major provides a broad musical base for students who wish to pursue careers in the commercial music industry. The Music Business Emphasis provides students exposure to various business aspects of the commercial music industry.

Applied Principal (Vocal): 16 Hours
- MPA 2201 Applied Classical Voice 2 Hours (2 semesters)
- MPA 2202 Applied Commercial Voice 2 Hours (2 semesters)
- MPA 4202 Applied Commercial Voice 2 Hours (4 semesters)
- MSM 2002 Seminar: Commercial Voice 0 Hours (4 semesters)
- MSM 4002 Seminar: Commercial Voice 0 Hours (4 semesters)
- MPR 3002 Half Recital 0 Hours
Conducting: 3 Hours
Choose one (1) course from the following: Course Requirements: 18 Hours
- MUT 3330 Commercial Music Analysis 3 Hours
