Bible and Theology, B.A.

The Bible and Theology major provides students with a broad foundation in the texts and traditions of Scripture and Christian theology. As students take courses in biblical and theological studies, they acquire knowledge, skills, and habits that equip them to pursue lives of wisdom and freedom. Students are prepared for a wide variety of career paths, including teaching, leadership in faith-based organizations, various forms of church ministry, and work in non-religious contexts.  

BELL Core Requirements: 55 Hours (minimum)


Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)  students will follow REL path B: 

  • REL 1010  Understanding the Bible (3); REL 3090  Spirituality in World Religions (3) or REL 3095  Ethics in World Religions (3); REL 4015  [Colloquium] (3)

Major Requirements: 33 Hours


Major Area: 15 Hours


Minor Requirements: 18 Hours


General Electives: 22 Hours (minimum)


Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
