Undergraduate Catalog 2025-2026
Architectural Studies Minor (for Interior Design Majors)
Return to: O’More College of Architecture and Design
The minor in architectural studies provides fundamental insights in the education of professionals to better communicate with the subdisciplines of architecture: design, history/theory, and technology (structures and environmental systems). Combined with the BELL Core general education, the architecture minor provides elective options for students to create a solid pre-professional program of study ideally suited for students planning to find areas of emphasis beyond their undergraduate degree through post-graduate experience in related focus areas of study or practice. The curriculum promotes an inter-disciplinary approach to reflect the diverse and collaborative nature of the field of architecture and allows students to pursue areas of emphasis within it while developing vocational discernment. The minor is not part of a degree accredited by the NAAB.
