The Musical Theatre Major provides extensive training for students who exhibit exceptional performance potential in musical theatre. The degree features balanced and comprehensive study in singing, acting, and dance for students interested in pursuing performance careers in musical theatre.

BELL Core Requirements: 38 Hours (minimum)
Technical Requirements:
Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core Requirements. Major Core Requirements: 20 Hours
Ensembles: 8 Hours

MUN ____ 2 hours (Enrollment in a choral ensemble for two semesters)
- MUN 3970 Musical Theatre 0-3 Hours (Enroll in 2 semesters for 0 credit each; enroll in 6 semesters for one hour each)
All music majors must enroll in at least one for-credit ensemble during each semester of study, even if minimum degree requirements for ensembles have been met.
Musical Theatre Major: 63 Hours
Applied Principal (Vocal): 20 Hours
Musical Theatre Support Courses: 8 Hours
Theatre Studies: 21 Hours
Dance Studies: 14 Hours
14 hours of DAN credit required; 1 hour counted in BELL Core under Wellness requirement. Select courses in at least three (3) different styles from the following (Students must take level II and level III courses in at least two different dance styles): General Electives: 8 Hours (minimum)
Total Required for the Program: 129 Hours
