The Performance Major is planned for students who exhibit exceptional potential as performers in their principal applied area. The program provides training for those desiring careers as professional performers and/or studio teachers. It is the best preparation for graduate study with emphasis in performance. The table below lists required coursework for students in this major whose applied area is vocal.

All music majors must enroll in at least one for-credit ensemble during each semester of study, even if minimum degree requirements for ensembles have been met. Music Performance Major (Vocal): 23 Hours
Vocal Literature/Pedagogy: 4 Hours
Other Required Music Courses: 2 Hours
Music Performance Applied Studies (Vocal): 52 Hours
Applied Principal (Vocal): 24 Hours
