The Art Education program prepares future educators to teach in schools, museums, community centers, and various other organizations. Students receive a strong foundation in studio art, art history, and education, along with 90 hours of classroom experience before student teaching. Graduates can earn a K-12 Art Teaching Certification, with licensure reciprocity in 46 states. The program balances artistic development with educational theory and hands-on teaching experience.

BELL Core Requirements: 40 Hours (minimum)

Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core or as General Electives. Professional Education Requirements: 31-33 Hours
Art Requirements: 58 Hours
Art and Design Core: 19 Hours
Required Art Courses: 30 Hours
