Return to: College of Education
This program allows for students to minor in special education to explore the needs and effective teaching strategies to support diverse learners and students with disabilities. Further, the coursework in this minor helps a teacher candidate who is majoring in Elementary Education meet the performance standards of the Special Education Interventionist (K-8) endorsement in order to gain an additional teaching license. Through the professional education coursework, teacher candidates understand and identify differences in student approaches to learning and performance. In alignment with our mission, our coursework “empowers men and women to transform the world” as educators and leaders of organizations who champion equity, opportunity, and dignity for all students they work with now and in the future.
