This program of study offers an education policy curriculum grounded in social science research, empowering students to understand the broader social, economic, political and historical context of decision-making in contemporary education, as well as an opportunity to complete an individualized internship to broaden career and professional experiences in education beyond the classroom experience.

BELL Core Requirements 53 Hours (minimum)
Technical Requirements:
Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core or as General Electives. Major Core Requirements: 21 Hours
Research Core Requirement: 3 Hours
Choose one course Education Elective Courses: 9 Hours
Study Abroad Experience
Study abroad is required of all Education Policy majors. A summer course, a semester, a Maymester, or a year long exchange would fulfill this requirement. Major requirement courses may be completed on the study abroad program. (Only for exceptional circumstances will a waiver be granted). Internship Requirement: 3 Hours
Minor Requirement: 18 Hours
General Electives: 21 Hours (minimum)
Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
