The B.A. in Art Studies is designed for students interested in art but who also prefer a broad based education through the traditional foundation of liberal arts. This degree is suitable for many different career paths or graduate studies and provides a strong fundamental studio art education while allowing for a minor outside the art.

BELL Core Requirements: 55 Hours (minimum)
Technical Requirements:
Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core or as General Electives.
Major Requirements: 37 Hours
Art and Design Core: 16 Hours
Required Major Courses: 21 Hours
ART Electives: 15 Hours
(Select 5 courses from the following)
Minor (Outside of ART): 18 Hours
General Electives: 18 Hours (minimum)
Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
1 Honors students taking this major must also take ART 4015 .
