Environmental Science, B.S.

The Environmental Science program at Belmont is an interdisciplinary major in the College of Science and Mathematics. Students who enrolled in this program take courses in natural sciences, math, social sciences, and humanities in an attempt to get a well-rounded understanding of how the environment intersects with their lives. In addition, students will get hands on scientific experience and explore how to communicate through writing and oral presentations. All students who are ENV majors are required to complete a research-based course and an internship.

BELL Core Requirements: 53 Hours (minimum)

Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core   or as General Electives.

Major Tool Courses: 4 Hours


Lab Science Electives (Group B): 16 Hours


Minor Requirements: 0 Hours


This major does not require a minor

General Electives: 24 Hours (minimum)


Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours


* ENV 3330 Special Topics in Environmental Science  courses will be designated either Group A (Social Science /Humanities focus) or Group B (Quantitative/Analytical focus)
