The Journalism program trains young journalists to work with image, sound and text, yet remain rooted in the traditional values of fairness, accuracy, objectivity and respect for audience. It incorporates state-of-the-art technology with an ethics-across-the-curriculum mission. Cutting-edge professionals will provide hands-on training in print and multi-media news production.

BELL Core Requirements: 53 Hours (minimum)
Technical Requirements: 3 Hours
Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core or as General Electives.
Major Requirements: 39 Hours
Media & Entertainment Department Core: 9 Hours
Journalism Professional Core: 21 Hours
Journalism Specialization: 3 Hours
Choose one from the following:
Journalism Electives: 6 Hours
Any JRN, MDS, ETM, PUB elective.
General Electives: 15 Hours
Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
