• EDU 2100 Foundations of Education 3 Hours
• EDU 2110 Educational Psychology 3 Hours
• EDU 2221 Child Development, Education, and Guidance 3 Hours
• EDU 3025 Literacy in the Family and Community Arena 3 Hours
• SET 2100 Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship 3 Hours
• SOC 3000 Schools and Society: The Sociology of Education 3 Hours *

Research Core Requirement: 3 Hours

Study Abroad Experience

Study abroad is required of all Educational Studies majors.  A summer course, a semester, a Maymester, or a year long exchange would fulfill this requirement.  Major requirement courses may be completed on the study abroad program.   (Only for exceptional circumstances will a waiver be granted).  

Internship Requirement: 3 Hours

• EDU 2990 Independent Studies 1-3 Hours

Minor Requirement: 18 Hours

General Electives: 21 Hours (minimum)

Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
