Media Production, B.A./B.S.

The Media Production major is designed for students who want to produce, direct, or create professional media content.  This major provides students with the necessary video, audio & media production skills to produce and edit media for television, live sports, music videos, promotional, educational & corporate videos, electronic press kits and multimedia content for legacy and emerging media platforms. Students develop skills in single and multi-camera production and post-production, and in video and audio streaming.

BELL Core Requirements: 53 Hours (minimum)


Technical Requirements:


Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core   or as General Electives. 

Major Requirements: 36 Hours


Media Studies Common Core: 9 Hours


Emphasis Area: 12 Hours


(choose one emphasis)

Minor Requirements: 18 Hours


General Electives: 21 Hours (minimum)


Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
