The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Interior Design is a rigorous eight-semester, CIDA-accredited program focused on developing future leaders in our field. Engaged in design-specific learning from their first semester in the program to the last, our students learn essential communication skills, design technologies, critical and systems-thinking tools, and creative problem-solving techniques in collaborative settings. They learn to approach designing through an empathetic lens, considerate of the diverse users of the built environments to elevate the human experience within those spaces. We promote the profession, prepare for licensing and registration, and equip students to utilize evidence-based design approaches for more sustainable, equitable, and meaningful designs that have the capacity to transform.
