This program of study prepares candidates to meet the performance standards of the Special Education Interventionist (K-8) endorsement. Through the professional education coursework, teacher candidates understand and identify differences in student approaches to learning and performance. In alignment with our mission, our coursework “empowers men and women to transform the world” as educators and leaders of organizations who champion equity, opportunity, and dignity for all students they work with now and in the future.

BELL Core Requirements: 53 Hours (minimum)
Major Technical Requirements: 21 Hours
Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core or as General Electives.
Education Core Courses: 12 Hours
Educational Professional Coursework: 36 Hours
Minor Requirement: 18 Hours
General Electives: 9 Hours (minimum)
Total Required for Program: 128 Hours
