Architecture, B.Arch.

The Bachelor of Architecture program is in candidacy for NAAB accreditation to provide graduates with the necessary educational credential to pursue professional licensure as an architect. Core faculty deliver a comprehensive education in the subdisciplines of architecture: design, history/theory, building & environmental technologies, and their collaborative practices. Students are encouraged to engage in an interdisciplinary approach with a strong emphasis on integration of professional studies in the fifth year. The curriculum intentionally harnesses the BELL Core general education requirements or the Honors Program curriculum to develop students’ problem-solving approaches using design and critical thinking skills. Ample elective options for students promote an inter-disciplinary approach to reflect the diverse nature of the field of architecture and allow students to pursue areas of emphasis within it. The B.Arch. does not require a minor.
