General Free Electives: 7 Hours (minimum)


Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours


Note: The last 32 hours of course work must be completed at Belmont University.
Note: Consent of Nursing Admission and Progression committee is required if a student desires to alter the Program of Studies.

Nursing students electing to pursue a minor must officially declare the minor. Upon completion of the minor, the 6-7 hours of free electives in the nursing curriculum will be waived. If the minor is not completed any hours earned toward the minor will apply to the free electives requirement to meet degree requirements.

Qualified BSN students may pursue a Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at Belmont through a guaranteed admission option. Eligible students may complete selected bachelor level nursing courses to satisfy major and general free electives credit hours (NUR 3100, NUR 3050, NUR 4020, NUR 4502, NUR 4505, NUR 4511). Credit hours counting towards a BSN degree will not count toward MSN or DNP degree hours.
