Statistics Minor

For a student who has not yet completed MTH 1210 and 1220 (Calculus I and II), the Statistics minor will take at least four semesters to complete. The student begins with MTH 1210 in the first of these semesters along with MTH 1151. In the second semester, the student should take MTH 1220. In the third semester, the student should take MTH 3210. In the fourth semester, the student should take MTH 3220. During these last three semesters, the student must also complete DSC 2010, MTH 2030 and an elective from the approved list in the catalog. Course rotations and prerequisites must be considered and it is possible that more than four semesters might be required to complete the minor.”

Technical Requirements
Technical Requirements are courses identified by the program as required courses and will count in the BELL Core or as General Electives.
Course Requirements: 15 hours

Total: 18 Hours
* The selected topics taught in the course will differ each year and students may receive credit for taking the course more than once.
Restrictions
- Courses with an asterisk (*) following the title will not count toward either a major or a minor in mathematics.
- French or German is recommended to fulfill language requirements for a B.A. degree in mathematics.
- A grade of C or better in a prerequisite course is necessary in order for the prerequisite to have been satisfied.
- Any deviation from the listed prerequisites must be approved by the Department Chair.
