Story is the basis for all narrative filmmaking. Motion Picture Production majors will leave Belmont with a deep knowledge of writing, editing, directing, sound, producing, and cinematography – the skills to tell stories that matter – to them and to the world.

BELL Core Requirements: 38 Hours (minimum)
Technical Requirement:

Major Requirements: 48 Hours
Senior Film Project: 6 Hours
Chose one track:
Motion Pictures Electives and Emphasis courses: 30 Hours
Students will complete 12 hours in one of the following emphases: Post Production, Screenwriting, Producing, Directing/Cinematography, or Film Studies. Please see the department for specific emphasis courses.Eighteen hours required as major electives.
General Electives: 12 Hours (minimum)
Total Required for the Program: 128 Hours
