Mission:

Watkins College of Art utilizes the power of creative and critical thinking to educate purpose-driven artists and designers with global historical perspectives and an entrepreneurial mindset to be productive citizens of their communities.

Admission Requirements: 

In addition to meeting the general requirements for admission to the university, students desiring to obtain an MFA degree from the Watkins College of Art are required to submit a portfolio of work that best illustrates their abilities. The images of the student’s work will be submitted through an online portal. Students will receive the link for submission after applying to the MFA program. After completing your application in its entirety, applicants will be invited for an interview with the MFA Program Director and at least one faculty member teaching in the program.

Scholarships and Awards:

Created by the merger between Belmont University and the independent Watkins College of Art, the Watkins College of Art Scholarship Endowment is used exclusively to provide need- and merit-based scholarships for incoming freshman or transfer students studying within the Watkins College of Art at Belmont University.
