LAW 6322 Health Care Business and Finance

This course will focus on health care transactions and the various legal and business issues that affect and inform such transactions. Specifically, it will examine various business transactions and structures, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, network affiliations, and other business arrangements, and will also explore basic corporate organizational structures, including considerations for transactions involving nonprofit organizations. It will also examine the various legal issues related to business operations of health care organizations, including financing, reimbursement, and taxation.
