OTD 6000 Foundations in Occupational Therapy

Students critically analyze the historical foundation, philosophical assumptions, core concepts, theories, models and frames of reference that have shaped the profession of occupational therapy. Current trends and emerging practice areas are introduced. Inter-professional education and the OT/OTA collaborative process are discussed. Disability Studies and its relation to occupational therapy practice will be explored.
