BIO 3210 Herpetology


4 Hours

Prerequisites: BIO 1160  and BIO 1165  

Herpetology focuses on the broad diversity of Herpetofauna - including extinct taxa, amphibians, and reptiles. Specific content will focus on ecology, evolutionary history, functional morphology, and physiology of the major clades of herpetofauna. Classes will be a mix of lecture and paper discussions. Labs will be split into two main components. The first component will focus on identification and field capture techniques of organisms. The second component will focus on laboratory and research techniques found in the field of herpetology. $50.00 course fee.
