ACC 3520 Accounting Information Systems


3 Hours

Prerequisites: ACC 2450  or ACC 2430  

This course introduces students to the principles and practices of Information Systems (IS), with a focus on system analysis and design techniques, as well as the stages of the system development life cycle. Students will explore key concepts such as system inputs and outputs, data processing, file management, and internal controls using enterprise analytics tools. Emphasis will be placed on the integration of enterprise IS with business operations, enabling effective financial reporting, compliance, and managerial decision-making. By the end of the course, students will gain a solid understanding of how enterprise IS can optimize business processes, enhance data security, and facilitate informed financial decisions.
