BIO 3230 Stem Cell Biology 3 Hours
Prerequisites: BIO 1150 / BIO 1155 or permission of the instructor.
An overview of the relatively young field of stem cell biology. Students will explore topics such as: the nature and function of stem cells in embryos and adults, the unique biology of stem cells, the potential for therapeutic applications involving stem cells, and ethical concerns surrounding stem cell research.
