ART 1011 Surface and Color

An introduction to art and design with a hands-on studio investigation of the 2-dimensional picture plane. Students will explore subject, form, and content through a series of projects emphasizing creative and critical thinking. Content areas may include composition, emphasis, balance, illusion of space, additive and subtractive color, color mixing, color relationships and visual context. Through research, presentations, written responses, and verbal critique students will gain professional language used to analyze and evaluate works of art and design. $100.00 course fee. $100.00 course fee.
