ART 2300 Intermediate Photography 3 Hours
Prerequisites: ART 1100, ART 1060
This course, a continued study of photography, provides students with a broader and more advanced look at images and how and why they are made. Students will use advanced image capture techniques: alternative format cameras (medium format and/or large format), digital capture; and printing: scanning film, digital and darkroom printing, and/or alternative processes such as palladium printing. Students will experiment with a variety of digital papers as well as scale in printing, bookmaking, and the narrative and non-narrative potential of photo books and photographic installations. Through lectures, readings, and library visits students will engage with virtual and physical spaces of photographic production.
