The EIS program is designed to prepare the future leaders of the leisure and entertainment industries through industry principles and practices. Building upon the foundations that drive the production, marketing and consumption of entertainment products and services, students are challenged to think critically about these foundations while learning to provide innovative solutions to their development. Students of the EIS program complete either the B.S. or B.A. curriculum with a major in the entertainment industry and a minor in a related discipline (this may include a function of the business the student is interested in such as marketing, management or publicity, or a specific industry of focus such as sports administration, music business or theater). Included in the EIS major are specialized courses in entertainment marketing and promotion, economics, law & licensing, and management of entertainment organizations.
