MUH 2220 History of Electro-Digital Music


3 Hours

Prerequisites: MUH 1200  

A chronological survey of electronic and digital music from the early 20th century to the current day in the United States and throughout the world. Special emphasis will be given to understanding electro-digital music’s role in the socio-musical influences of culture, including Music Diplomacy. Students will become familiar with a survey of styles, genres, and composers. The course will focus on skills in active listening, terminology, researching, writing, and critical thinking.
